Courses & Certifications
Real programs. Real prices. Real links.
Every course on this page was verified by visiting the provider's site directly. We've grouped them by career stage and geography so you can find the one that actually fits — whether you're starting from zero in France, building a career in Northern Virginia, or scaling into hyperscale infrastructure.
Free — start here, anywhere in the world
Zero cost, self-paced, English (most). Perfect for evaluating whether the field interests you before investing in paid certs.
Schneider Electric Data Center University (DCU)
The single best free starting point. Vendor-pretending-to-be-vendor-neutral but the engineering content is excellent. Optional Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA) exam at the end.
AI Infrastructure & Operations Fundamentals
Maps directly to the NCA-AIIO exam. Covers GPU virtualization (vGPU), workload scheduling, container orchestration, NVIDIA Base Command. Zero cost to audit.
Open Compute Project (OCP) Specifications
Read what hyperscalers (Meta, Microsoft, Google) actually deploy. Open hardware specs for racks, power, cooling, networking. Annual OCP Global Summit videos are gold.
NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) free tracks
Many free courses on CUDA, multi-node training, NCCL. Paid courses give cloud GPU lab access for hands-on practice.
EPI CDCP / CDCS / CDCE — the global vendor-neutral standard
EPI's Certified Data Centre track is delivered in 50+ countries via authorized partners and accredited by EXIN. CDCP is the de-facto entry credential for facilities-side roles worldwide.
Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP®)
The entry-level industry standard. Valid 3 years. Covers power, cooling, security, cabling, fire suppression, efficiency. Many employers reimburse.
Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS®)
Builds on CDCP with deeper design and operations content. Good fit for engineers ~3 years into facilities work.
Certified Data Centre Expert (CDCE®)
Senior-level. Carries weight for management roles. Often the credential for someone running a 10MW+ facility.
CDCP® en français
Le CDCP livré en français par oo2 (partenaire EPI agréé) ou HPE France. Examen EXIN à la clé. Éligible CPF chez certains partenaires.
Uptime Institute — the design + operations gold standard
Uptime owns the Tier classification (the I-IV reliability framework). Their Accredited Tier Designer credential is what hyperscalers and major colos actually require for facility designers.
Data Center Fundamentals (DCF)
Quickest legitimate intro to the Uptime framework. Earns the DCF digital badge.
Accredited Tier Designer (ATD)
The credential for designing tier-rated facilities. If you want to do MEP design at JBA, Bala, Syska, etc. — this is the one.
Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS) / Operations Specialist (ATO)
ATS for design specialists; ATO for operations leadership. Both highly regarded by hyperscale operators.
Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP)
Newer Uptime credential focused on design fundamentals beyond the Tier system itself.
AI Infrastructure (NVIDIA & adjacent) — for cluster engineers
If your goal is to run training clusters at hyperscalers, neoclouds, or AI labs, these are the credentials that matter. NVIDIA's NCP-AII is the rigorous benchmark.
NCA-AIIO — AI Infrastructure & Operations Associate
Entry-level NVIDIA AI infra credential. Validates fundamentals of GPU computing, virtualization, cluster orchestration. Good first step.
NCP-AII — AI Infrastructure Professional
Rigorous: covers Base Command Manager, SLURM + K8s for AI, DCGM, single-node stress testing (HPL), firmware management. The credential for running NVIDIA reference clusters.
DLI Multi-Node Training Workshop
Hands-on with NCCL, multi-node PyTorch, performance tuning. The closest thing to actually running training jobs at scale without owning the cluster.
🇫🇷 France — verified national programs
Real, current French training. Many are CPF-eligible (Compte Personnel de Formation), some are free for unemployed workers via Pôle Emploi / France Travail.
Technicien Datacenter (CFP-GPS)
Cursus opérationnel : DCIM, habilitations électriques B1V/B2V, CACES, partenariats Axians, Engie, Circet, Sogetrel, Scopelec. Financé par AFDAS, Pôle Emploi, Plombiers du Numérique, etc.
Plombiers du Numérique — formation Technicien Datacenter
Cursus pré-qualifiant pour jeunes sans expérience. Câblage cuivre/fibre, racking serveurs, urbanisation salle. 70% de retour positif vers l'emploi. Partenariat OVHcloud.
Formation Data Center Infrastructure
Formation Datacenter — AFEIR Communications

Notes on this list
- • Prices are approximate and current as of April 2026 — always confirm with the provider before enrolling.
- • Many French programs are eligible for CPF (Compte Personnel de Formation) funding. Check francecompetences.fr.
- • US veterans: Salute Inc. and Vets2PM specifically place military veterans in DC roles. Many hyperscalers prefer veteran candidates.
- • If you're at a mid-career pivot, prioritize EPI CDCP first — it's the single most universally recognized entry credential.
- • If your goal is AI cluster engineering specifically, the path is: NVIDIA NCA-AIIO → NCP-AII → real on-cluster experience.
